What opening angle stops should we use for 110°- and 107°-hinges and how are they installed?

Blum has a number of different opening angle stops on offer for this purpose. This article will explain which opening angle stop you can use for each hinge and how to assemble these.

 

There is one rule that applies to all doors that are being fitted with an opening angle stop: Always fit an opening angle stop on all hinges in the piece of furniture.

We offer opening angle stop 70T3553 for all CLIP top BLUMOTION 110° hinges. This limits the opening angle to 86°.

 How do you install the opening angle stop for 110°-hinges?

Step 1: Install the opening angle stop before clipping the door to the mounting plate. The hinge must be closed.

Step 2: Insert the opening angle stop into the space between the boss drilling and the hinge.

Step 3: Once you have re-attached the door, the opening angle will be restricted to 86°.

 

CLIP top BLUMOTION 107° with a 74.1103

Opening angle stop 74.1103 is used for all 107° hinges and likewise restricts the opening angle to 86°.

How do you install the opening angle stop for 107°-hinges?

Step 1: The opening angle stop can only be installed if the hinge has not yet been fastened to the door. Close the hinge by approx. 45°.

Step 2: You can now press the opening angle stop into the opening on the bottom of the boss – keep pressing until you hear an audible click.

Step 3: After you have fastened the hinge to the door and connected this with the cabinet, the opening angle will be restricted to 86°.
