Selecting opening angle stops for CLIP top BLUMOTION hinges

How can you tell a CLIP top BLUMOTION 110° hinge apart from the 107° Version?

This picture shows CLIP top BLUMOTION: everything included
It is often difficult for fitters on-site to tell if a CLIP top BLUMOTION 110° hinge or CLIP top BLUMOTION 107° hinge is installed in a piece of furniture. However, it is important to know this information, especially when it comes to selecting the right opening angle stop. The two simple steps below will help you to differentiate between the hinges.

Step 1: Have you actually installed a CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge?

Unlike our CLIP top hinges, CLIP top BLUMOTION hinges have integrated dampening. If the hinge has a ‘BLUMOTION bracket’ and a deactivation switch as shown in the graphic, it is definitely a CLIP top BLUMOTION hinge.

Step 2: How can you then tell the hinge with a 107° opening angle apart from the hinge with a 110° opening angle?

Take a closer look at the following two parts of the hinge:

  • Deactivation switch: There is a protrusion on the boss of the 110° hinge near the deactivation switch, whilst the boss of the 107° hinge is completely smooth.

  • BLUMOTION bracket: The BLUMOTION bracket lies almost horizontally in the boss of the 110° hinge, whereas it is roughly vertical in the boss of the 107° hinge. Please note: The BLUMOTION function must be activated in order for this to be seen.

I am using your Blumotion 38C hingeS, which, I believe opens to 107 degrees. I need to obtain some angle stops for one cabinet.
Where can I purchase or order these angle stops?

Hi, the serial number on the back of the blumotion hinge is 75B155 can we still use an angle stop, if so which one should be selected?

      Dear John,
the number you mentioned is used on a series of different hinges, which is why it would be best if you send a foto of the hinge to your local Blum representative office and they will give you the correct advice.

      Hi Jane,

in order to determine the correct angle stopper for your hinge we require the exact type of hinge which as been used for your Timberline cupboard. Unfortunately, the numbers found on the hinges are not sufficient.
Pictures are usually the best way to show the type.
Anyway, one of my colleagues in Australia will get back to you and assist you personally.

I am 90% sure I have Blumotion 110 degree hinges.
I need the doors to open to 90 degree for pull out shelves, but not much more, Can I limit them to 92 deg. using a clip from you?

      Hi David,
it would be highly important to know the exact hinge type. Otherwise any recommendation would just be a guess.
We have forwarded your question to our US customer service and they will most probably ask for fotos to determine the exact hinge type and then give you a proper answer.

      Best regards
