Blum EASY ASSEMBLY – new: LIVE SUPPORT app
My Blum servos do not keep my cabinet doors up, the doors just fall back down. I have adjusted the tension to full strength and it still falls back down.
Hello Ernie,
Thank you for your question and I’m sorry about the problem. In my opinion you have the wrong lift mechanism in your cabinet. To check this, please open the door manually and when the door stays open the lift mechanism is correct adjusted. How to do this, you will find on our blog:
http://ea.blum.com/en/adjustment-of-aventos-lift-mechanism/#more-500
Should the door still fall back down, you will need a stronger lift mechanism. For this purpose, please contact your retailer.
Hi how do I set the doors to stay open for longer
At the moment they open but then just close again, with out giving me time to get anything from the cupboard?
Hello Lucas,
can you please give us some more information about the products you use? Are you using a SERVO DRIVE or a TIP-ON (without electric) technology?
Please let us know in which country you live, then we can decide how to help you best.
Hi,
My kitchen doors use an extra stopping device for smoother closing of the doors. This device however sometimes comes off and I haven’t been able to find the right way to refix it. Can I have your feedback on this?
Hello David,
I think the easiest way is to replace the BLUMOTION. Our customer service will contact you as soon as possible.
hi what blum conciled hinges work with 24 mm doors
Hi,
it depends on the application which hinge fits best. For a standard application I would recommend a CLIP top BLUMOTION 110°. For further information please check our catalogue.
Hi,
i am looking to place a space tower which the unit will be against adjacent wall with no room for a filler ,
so the door will only open 90deg , will a space tower still work in this application,
thank you
Hi Graham,
basically, if you use one of Blum’s zero protrusion hinges (such as 125° and 155° degree hinges) it is possible to open the inner drawers without collision, even if the door is only 90° open. However, there is no opening angle limiter for 90°, but only for 92°. Accordingly, it will be necessary for you to place a soft bumper or something else on the outside of the cabinet door to avoid damage of the front if it hits the wall.
I hope this helps, otherwise don’t hesitate to get in touch with us again or call your local Blum representative found here: http://www.blum.com/contact
Best regards
Matthias
Hi,
I need to install a 30mm door on a 18mm carcass. Full overlay, but the door will be flush with another door and the space between them will be about 1 or 2mm. The lower doors are about 12kg and the upper doors about 7kg. Which hinge should I use?
Thank you,
Douglas
Hi Douglas,

Greetings,
in an AVENTOS HF bi-fold lift system (wood-wood) application the overlay of the upper front of 18 mm is required. Appropriate upper hinges in this situation would be clip top 120° special hinges (i.e. 72T55*0**TL), but regrettably these hinges are not available from my regional suppliers. Clip top 120° hinges (i.e. 70T55*0**TL) are available and could also be used here, with 1 mm up adjustment, but this would resulted in reduced subsequent adjustability range.
Would it be possible to use clip top 110° and/or 110°+ hinges (i.e. 7[0-2]T35*0.TL), as both of these allow for 18 mm overlays, with opening angle stop (e.g. 20F70*1), or some other hinges, as upper hinges within this lift system or are clip top 120°/+ hinges must/strongly advisable for this lift system?
Without use case or relevant information within available documentation that I could find any hint/pointer/advice about this would be very welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks so much!
Best regards,
Elvir M.
Dear Elvir,
I have checked this situation with one of our specialists and we agree that your idea using a 110° hinge with the opening angle stop would work.
Still, our local representative will get in touch with you and try to find a supplier who has the special 120° hinge for large overlays in stock.
Best regards
Matthias
Dear Matthias,
thank you so much for your swift reply and for your help.
Getting 120°+ hinges would great but, as alternative, confirmation of proposed solution is already good news. Thanks!
Best regards,
Elvir M.
